Maastricht School of Management
The Maastricht School of Management was founded in 1952. In 1989 the school relocated from Delft to the historical city of Maastricht. Ever since we both added to and benefited from the rich business, political and cultural resources of the city. The proximity to other major European countries only adds to our significance and attractiveness as an international management school. More than 2500 participants from over 30 different countries graduate every year with either a Masters or a Doctors degree in Business Administration, or have obtained a diploma from one of our Executive Programs.
The Maastricht School of Management is a truly international networked management school that provides state-of-the-art management education to managers and mid-career professionals from many different countries. Our objective is to enhance professional competence and enrich the lives and careers of those involved in the practice of management. We balance management theory with practical experience and research in a multicultural and multidisciplinary setting. This approach, combined with an emphasis on the participants' own skills and knowledge, makes studying in Maastricht a unique experience.
The training approach of MsM aims to blend lectures with experiential and active learning. The subjects are made up of a selection of topics with a balanced mix of concepts and theories, which are introduced in a practical manner. The majority of the faculty members of MsM have extensive business experience in their respective specializations.
Since most of the participants have work experience in the business environment, the mutual exchange of these work-related experiences among the participating executives is an important part of the MBA education. Programs and courses are designed to use an adequate mixture of qualitative and quantitative theory and application.
