Word from the founder
Uniabroad was founded in 2003 with the intention of helping young people fulfilling their dream of studying abroad.
I have been a student in Australia and Spain and I know how difficult it can be to find a proper school, not to mention in the beginning.
In 2002 I found myself in Barcelona with no knowledge of Spanish and no accommodation - the school I where I studied gave me no help whatsoever, nor did the agency I was applying through.
The school seemed good. Nice brochure, nice building etc. And there it stopped. They way the school was run was a disaster. Our professors didn't show up because the owner of the school didn't pay their salaries and we basically had to fight for thing that you should be included when you pay €12 000 (the school now charges €15 000!).
So after receiving a scholarship from the Norwegian government I spent one year doing research and traveling to find schools which give good programs and actually cares about their students.
I get emails from schools all the time asking us to represent them, but I will never promote schools that I wouldn't apply to myself. We also keep close connections to our students so that we have a feeling how they experience the schools.
I have also tried to build up a network in each place which can assist you as a student finding accommodation and language schools.
Anyway I hope you all find the pages helpful and user-friendly. If you have any inquiries or comments just drop me a line.
